SHINOBU is a haunting, preternatural beauty. He has an effeminate face slick, dark, butt-length hair with bangs covering the right side of his face and deathly pale porcelain skin. His eyes are a loud red. His eyelashes are also thick and pronounced. In every appearance, they are always shown wearing make-up. Blue and black eyeshadow,, volumizing black mascara, powder and a shade of lipstick——tinged either black, a dark crimson or a gradient of both. SHINOBU is an eccentric and hedonistic individual. He enjoys typical things people around his age do with a special passion for movies. Low budget cinema especially has a potent place in his heart. He also enjoys playing the guitar, occultism and martial arts——three things he picked up from school while participating in multiple clubs. But, even with these deeper interests, Shinobu is often distracted by an innate devotion to pleasure.Despite his vulgar and heinous tendencies, he gives respect to his peers and those who tempt his interest. Being a troublemaker since youth and growing up aloof around criminals and delinquents, his behavior was never corrected, and it’s lead to him becoming an emotionally unstable soul. Ever since becoming a daemon-host and gaining awareness of the digital world, Shinobu has become conflicted with everything around him. He has also started fearing the fast advancement of technology. In his constant pursuit of cheap thrills and meaningless affairs, he craves nothing more than the truth of his purpose amongst the vox populi.

In combat, his sadistic streak becomes more conspicuous. This is especially prevalent in battles with targets considered to be high-priority, insulting those who hesitate at obvious openings. He is a ruthless wrecking machine who stops at nothing but the spilling of his own blood to take down an enemy, all while taking great pleasure in doing so treating everything like a game where he’s the strongest in the lobby. Despite this, he isn’t reckless. He is a strategist while also a blood-thirsty warrior whose instincts, on occasion, will overlay his brains.

ORIGIN BRIEFINGS

A daemon-host born in negligence in Nara, Japan. Raised an orphan, in his adolescence, he relocated overseas to San Francisco, California before moving back to Japan at age 15 to live in Tokyo where he temporarily attended Bugendai Academy. At age 16, he dropped out for undisclosed reasons and started living with his school friend, Kaname Miyajima. When asked about his family life, he'll vaguely mention growing up in private hospitals, orphanages and youth gangs.Sometime before abandoning his education, Shinobu purchased a laptop with a disc drive in order to watch imported movies. One day, he was searching the internet landscape for a rumored disc that contained the “scariest movie in the known universe.” After discovering it on a malicious website, Shinobu actually revived the disc after buying it for ¥30,000. When he popped the reputed disc into his computer, it took him to a strange website packed full of tech-babble he had no way of deciphering. Clicking through multiple pop-ups, the young man had, incidentally, discovered a breeding ground for paranormal activity——the direct cause of his possession by the powerful daemon, Asmodeus.After becoming intertwined with the demon king, Shinobu started working illegally at an occult-themed nightclub in hopes of finding information about his “affliction” through knowledgeable peers. This, however, serves as a side gig. Going by the codename Wolf of Kabukichō, Shinobu associates with the GENEI Dynamics Keiretsu' to engage in otherwordly work as a SUR-FER agent.

DAEMON——a term used to describe the anthropomorphized versions of natural phenomena or, in certain cultures, minions of evil. Those born with a special blood-type possess the ability to merge with these beings and gain their powers in tandem.

ASMODEUS, one of the 72 demons of the Goetia, was was a cherub before his fall from grace.
He has three heads: a bull, a man, and a sheep. His legs are like that of a chicken, his tail is a venomous snake, and his wings are hideous. In his hands he holds a battle flag and spear, and he rides a dragon, spitting flames from his mouth. If the conjurer approaches him with respect, he will obey and give rings, as well as teach astronomy and geometry. Later literature ties him to the sin of lust.While Asmodeus’ power is versatile, he excels in psychokinesis and curse affinities. The daemon possesses cleaving capabilities, too, with its sharp claws and bladed wings respectively, making them an incredible all-rounder.
